The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: eventstudy.com. We use your IP address to help administer our Web site. Our web site is hosted by Pair Networks and our shopping cart is hosted by Americart, either of which may also use IP address information to help diagnose problems with their server on which our web site or shopping cart resides. When you choose to order online by credit card, we track your IP address in order to help prevent credit card fraud. This site contains links to other sites. Cowan Research LC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect visitors' contact information (like their email address) and financial information (like their credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to our customers. The customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary and to register the customer's license and rights, if any, to technical support, upgrade discounts, or other benefits that may be made available to registered users. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services. Use of CookiesWhen you visit eventstudy.com, you can surf the site anonymously and access important information without revealing your identity. In order to improve our site, we use "cookies" to track your shopping cart. A cookie is small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a Web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. Even if you have provided personal information, we do not try to link it with the IP/Internet address of your computer, with the single exception that we may do so for credit card security as explained above. We do not use cookies to keep track of your credit card information. SurveysFrom time to time our site requests information from users via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact info (like name and shipping address) and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use of and customers' satisfaction with this site. SecurityThis site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of credit card information that you provide. Specifically, we accept credit card information only on a secure server page, and we only accept credit card information from users who are entering the information in a secure browser. Also, we never store the full credit credit card number on a single computer (or in any single location in a non-computer format); the last 6 digits are stored only on a secure server.
